Tyrique George wants to leave Chelsea this summer, according to Fabrizio Romano.
The 19-year-old racked up 26 appearances in all competitions last season. But the Blues have splashed out on a host of new wide players and there could be more coming.
Chelsea have brought in Estevao Willian and Jamie Gittens. New signing Joao Pedro can also play out wide, and may be forced to if Liam Delap or Nicolas Jackson get the nod through the middle. Then there is Xavi Simons and Alejandro Garnacho, who have both been heavily linked with moves to the London club.
George has now decided that seeking a move elsewhere would give his career the best chance of taking flight.
And while Chelsea would rather keep hold of him, the report adds that they ‘accept’ his desire for regular minutes and a permanent move is ‘possible’.
Borussia Monchengladbach are admirers, while RB Leipzig also asked about him during talks with Chelsea over the transfer of Simons.
