Cristiano Ronaldo wants to reunite with former Manchester United team-mate Mason Greenwood at Al-Nassr, according to reports. The 23-year-old forward was the subject of interest from the Saudi Pro League last summer but opted to stay in Europe with Marseille.
Greenwood completed a £27million switch from United and made an almighty impression in his first season, scoring 22 goals in 36 games in all competitions. He fired Marseille back into the Champions League as the Ligue 1 joint-top goalscorer alongside Paris Saint-Germain superstar Ousmane Dembele.
While Greenwood snubbed Saudi Arabia a year ago, the allure of a renewed link-up with Ronaldo could prove tempting.
According to Marca, the five-time Ballon d’Or winner wants Al-Nassr to keep up with Al-Ittihad and Al-Hilal in the transfer market by signing Greenwood.
The former United No. 11 is said to have received an offer from the Riyadh club with Ronaldo’s endorsement. The report adds that Greenwood has not yet responded.
