Having good ways to cope with stress is important and according to Joanne Jones, an astrologer at Trusted Psychics, your star sign can shed some light. Your zodiac sign can reflect personality traits and can give insight into common behaviours

Joanne said: “Stress manifests differently for everyone. By understanding your star sign’s natural tendencies, you can choose individualised methods that soothe your mind, body, and spirit, without adding extra pressure.”

Aries (21 Mar – 19 Apr)

Aries can be quick to react under pressure and their frustration builds fast. This can lead to entering “fight mode” said Joanne.

“To ease this intense energy, they can turn to box breathing or a burst of high-intensity movement followed by deep stretching, which helps release tension and restore balance.”

Taurus (20 Apr – 20 May)

Under stress, Taurus has a tendency to shut down and cling to routine rather than embracing change. To help with this Joanne recommends grounding walks in nature, a slow yoga flow, and sipping calming herbal teas. This can help reconnect with stability in times of stress.

Gemini (21 May – 20 Jun)

Geminis experience stress as a racing mind and information overload. They can struggle to unplug from life and that’s why Joanne recommends journaling and guided meditation. These, along with a digital detox, offer Gemini a great way to quiet their busy minds and regain focus in times of stress.

Cancer (21 Jun – 22 Jul)

Cancers are known for being sensitive souls, and when they’re stressed, they can overinternalise worries. They have a tendency to care for others rather than themselves. By setting intentional emotional boundaries with others, Cancers can safely self-care. Joanne also recommends restorative yoga and salt baths. 

Leo (23 Jul – 22 Aug)

Leos are confident characters but have a tendency to overcommit and will avoid vulnerability to maintain appearances. Joanne said: “Self-affirmation journaling, creative expression, and mindful movement give Leo safe avenues to process emotions and restore calm, allowing their natural warmth to shine through again.”

Virgo (23 Aug – 22 Sep)

Overthinking is a common issue for Virgos and they also tend to hold stress physically. Both mind and body can be impacted. Joanne said: “Progressive muscle relaxation, focused breathwork, and “brain dump” writing help Virgo release tension, creating space for clarity and mental calm.”

Libra (23 Sep – 22 Oct)

Joanne said Libras can be people pleasers which can lead to life imbalance. She said: “Walking meditations, time spent alone, and setting clear boundaries provide Libra with space to rebalance, make confident choices, and restore inner harmony.”

Scorpio (23 Oct – 21 Nov)

These intense fire signs are known to bottle emotions, which can lead to internal pressure. To cope with stress, Joanne recommends candlelit yoga and deep breathing exercises to release pent-up energy and give a sense of calm. 

Sagittarius (22 Nov – 21 Dec)

Avoiding feelings and overbooking schedules are common unhealthy coping mechanisms for Sagittarius. Instead, try some grounding exercises, a digital detox and breath-focused stretches to reconnect with calm

Capricorn (22 Dec – 19 Jan)

Joanne said: “Capricorns are prone to pushing through stress, which often manifests as physical tension or burnout.” She recommends stretch-and-release yoga, herbal tonics, and structured rest routines which provide Capricorns with tools to prevent overwhelm and restore vitality.

Aquarius (20 Jan – 18 Feb)

Aquarians may become emotionally detached or experience mental overload when under pressure, often avoiding direct processing of their feelings. Rather than shutting down, Joanne recommends mindful journaling, breath-led walking, and low-stimulation rest.

Pisces (19 Feb – 20 Mar)

Joanne said: “Pisces often feel overwhelmed emotionally, absorbing the stress of others in addition to their own.” To cope with this she recommends gentle breathwork, and water-based rituals such as bathing to help Pisces release tension and relax.
