Amazon MGM Studios are now well underway with their secret James Bond auditions, as announced by the studio last month. Now in the latest bookies’ odds, favourite Callum Turner has had his chances of taking up the Licence to Kill cut from 4/1 to 6/5.
Oddschecker’s Chris Rogers said: “Callum Turner’s high-profile marriage to singer Dua Lipa looks to have sparked a surge of support for Turner in the next James Bond betting market. Turner has pulled out in front as the clear 6/5 favourite after a recent tussle with Harris Dickinson who has since drifted out to 3/1.”
Rogers continued: “Over the last 24 hours, Callum Turner was backed by 52% of bets placed while Kingsman star Taron Egerton was the second most backed contender with 13% of the betting.” The 36-year-old Turner, star of Masters of the Air and Fantastic Beasts, remains the bookies favourite to replace Daniel Craig. Meanwhile, Harris Dickinson is on 3/1, Jacob Elordi on 5/1 and Aaron Taylor-Johnson on 9/1.
