Believe it or not, Download Festival is just a few days away. The 2026 edition of the annual event will be taking place from Wednesday, June 10, 2026, and run through to Sunday, June 14, 2026. Bands will hit stages across Friday, Saturday and Sunday as the festival will, once again, be housed at Donington Park.

While there are dozens of bands attending the event, it may be difficult for fans to figure out who to see. With that said, below is a few recommendations of who we would be jumping at the chance to see live at the Apex Stage and beyond. Before that though, we’ll remind you how to buy tickets.

Resale tickets and viagogo

Sites such as viagogo, Stubhub, and Vivid Seats allow fans to buy resale tickets from other fans. However, it is important to note that ticket conditions often prohibit resale after initial purchase. Those tickets may not be valid for admittance to gigs.

Fans intending to buy tickets for live events through resale websites should check the ticket terms and conditions, to confirm whether resale is prohibited, before they buy. Ticket terms and conditions can be checked with the original seller, such as Ticketmaster or Live Nation. If resale is prohibited, tickets bought second-hand could be voided and admission to the event refused.

How to buy Download Festival tickets

Download Festival 2026 tickets were released last year for its 23rd iteration.

Official tickets were originally released through Live Nation, the festival’s longtime sponsor and partner.

However, plenty of those have sold out.

Thankfully, there are still a select few available from the official Download Festival website, as well.

For the fans who want to buy specific tickets but can’t get their hands on them, we’ve got an answer for you as well.

Online second-hand market viagogo has a huge amount of resale tickets available, as well. Here, fans can buy tickets that match their budget and preferences.

Below are all the ticket-buying options for fans to peruse:

Limp Bizkit

Let’s start with one of the headliners. Limp Bizkit are the legendary rap-metal group best known for Break Stuff, Rollin’, My Generation and many more.

The band, fronted by icon Fred Durst, have an incredible reputation of being fantastic live performers, and their spot as a headliner is well earned.

It’s an easy win considering they’re the last band of the day, but we’re convinced anyone can have a great time seeing them.

Linkin Park

Linkin Park

Linkin Park are in their resurgence era. With Emily Armstrong at the front of the ship, they have been renewed with new music, strong vocals, and a powerful desire to be successful, things are better than ever for the band.

I previously reviewed their return to performing after years away from the limelight, and since then, I’ve seen them perform around the world with even more vigour.

Now, at the top of the bill at Download Festival this year, they will no doubt reclaim their spot as masters of the genre.

Architects

Could this be Architects final slot at Download not as a headliner? (Image: PH)

Architects

Speaking of legends of the genre: Architects are fantastic. They’ve continued to grow their style and grace over the years through thick and thin, and now they’re taking their final step.

They’re headlining the Opus Stage on Saturday, and we predict they’ll be heading to the top of the Apex Stage in years to come.

With that in mind: You never want to miss an Architects gig. Get down there and see what they have in store.

Bad Omens

Bad Omens

Bad Omens were once the newcomer darlings of metal music. But now, with their feet firmly placed under the table, they have become the boldest and brightest of class 2026.

With that in mind, they haven’t played _too_ many shows in the UK just yet. So fans don’t quite know what to expect from their Download set.

As a result, this could be a highlight of the weekend.

The Plot In You

The Plot In You are a personal favourite of mine. They are dark, dreary, and at times difficult to listen to – because of their deep-cutting lyrics. But they are sensational.

If you are unfamiliar with the Ohioan outfit, I implore you to do some research and attend their sure-to-be mesmerising show.

If you do know Landon and the gang, I already know I’ll see you there in the pit.
