Over the years celebrities including Kate Moss, Kylie Minogue, Bella Hadid and even Richard E. Grant have fronted her beauty campaigns. Now beauty fans can get their hands on a Charlotte Tilbury travel size make-up kit that is filled with some of her stand-out products, including one which a shopper said gave them a ‘beautiful glow’.
Charlotte Tilbury founded her own brand in 2013 after working as a celebrity make-up artist for over 20 years and her products have become famous in their own right. Now the Charlotte’s Mini Viral Beauty Icons, which is a travel size make-up kit, costs £45 online.
It has four products in it, or as Tilbury herself says on the website, four ‘best-selling icons’. They are the Beauty Light Wand in Pinkgasm, a travel-size AIRbrush Flawless Setting Spray, a mini Pillow Talk Matte Revolution lipstick and a mini Pillow Talk Lip Cheat.
The beauty founder is quoted online as saying: “It’s all my legendary beauty secrets, perfectly packaged together for the look of your dreams!”. And the price point is dreamy too, at £45 for four products that’s £11.25 each.
The Beauty Light Wand in Pinkgasm is 5ml and is said to deliver a ‘sensual, healthy-looking’ glow, while the AIRbrush Flawless Setting Spray (34ml) aims to keep make-up in place. The Pillow Talk Matte Revolution lipstick (1.5g) is a matte lipstick and the Pillow Talk range is described by the brand as being ‘the ultimate beauty obsession’.
The travel kit then also has the mini Pillow Talk Lip Cheat (0.8g) which is a waterproof formula and to finish off the perfect pout. The brand also says the lip cheat ‘lasts for up to six hours with no smudging’.
It advises applying the Lip Cheat on the outer line of the lips, then apply the Matte Revolution lipstick and add some glow to cheeks with the Beauty Light Wand, and finish it all off with the setting spray, which should be sprayed six to eight inches away from the face.
Another offer is from Boots, which has its Festival Edit Beauty Bag for £45. They claim it is worth £161.34, and comes with 13 beauty treats including Too Faced Kissing Jelly Gloss in the shade Rasbperry, The Beauty Crop Dewy Bounce Setting Mist and more.
Beauty fans who want to focus on their eyes, can look at the Eye Essentials: High Impact Lashes Mascara Set from Clinique, which is priced at £25.50 online. This set comes with a full-size mascara, an eyeliner and cleansing balm.
But Charlotte Tilbury fans have loved the Mini Vial Icons set. On Space NK, one person who reviewed the Pinkgasm Beauty Light Wand and said: “I purchased this a few weeks ago and it is amazing. Gives me a beautiful glow and makes me look younger.”
On the Charlotte Tilbury website one person said: “Stunning set. The lip combo is one of my all time favourites. The setting spray should be a staple in anyone’s make up bag. The products last all day and very effective. Beautiful packaging.”
A second person said: “Awesome products I received, to be honest this is most amazing gift I have ever received. I love this brand, packaging is beautiful, scent is neutral. Setting spray does the job, make up stay for the day, lipstick has amazing shade and the pencil is very good pair.”
With very few negative reviews for the kit, some did leave reviews on Charlotte Tilbury for the individual products. One person said of the setting spray: “One of the the best settings spays I’ve used but just a bit pricey.”
Another shopper said in their four-star review for the Pillow Talk Lip Cheat: “It stays in place and most importantly doesn’t ride up any lip wrinkles. I have to take a star off as it’s a little too tacky for my liking. Also, most pencils at this price point come with a built in sharpener.”
