Placebo are well within legendary status. The alternative-rockers flew onto the music scene in the early 1990s with a vigorous frenzy of style, angst and purity. They not only turned heads because of their genre-breaking music, but also because of their stark and surprising looks. What’s more, at the time, they sang about loneliness, gender, sex, sexuality, and addiction; all through an honest and raw lens – traits that were not seen so often during the height of the Britpop era.
Now, 30 years later, they are returning to the stage to celebrate their first two records, Placebo and Without You I’m Nothing. The band, made up of Brian Molko and Stefan Olsdal, will be going on tour throughout October, November and December, with the latter two months encompassing the UK leg of their “30th Anniversary Tour”. Across the adventure, they’ll be playing songs exclusively from the aforementioned records, as well as releasing a new record titled Placebo Re:Created, where they have reimagined their debut album’s songs.
This new album has been described by the band as “finally finishing” the record.
They said: “We think of this record as a director’s cut. We haven’t recreated it from scratch. We went back to the original master tapes and brought 30 years of playing these songs live back into the record. This project was about finally finishing the record, dragging it into the 21st century sonically, while preserving the integrity and the spirit of the original. It’s not about improving it, there’s nothing wrong with it, it’s about completing it.
“When we made the first album, we didn’t yet have the experience or the studio knowledge to fully translate what was in our heads. Over the years, the songs took on a life of their own on stage; they grew, they developed, they kind of completed themselves. It’s a celebration of where we began, and a meeting point between who we were then and who we are now. It’s a way of honouring that innocence, while letting the songs exist with the scale, confidence, and energy of the band we’ve become.”

Tickets for the upcoming tour will be released this week. Below, we’ve detailed everything fans need to know.
Placebo are holding one presale event. This will begin on Tuesday, March 24, 2026, at 9am.
These tickets will be exclusively available to fans who have signed up for access ahead of time on the official Placebo website here before 11:59pm on March 22, 2026.
Fans will receive their link or code before 6pm on March 23, 2026.

Placebo tickets will be released on general onsale from Friday, March 27, 2026, at 9am.
These tickets will be fans’ final chance to get involved, as no further gigs are expected to be announced.
